Half Birthday

Violet had the best half birthday party ever! Yes, we are those people that celebrate half birthdays. Why not, though? Violet's half birthday just so happens to fall on my brother's actual birthday (so that makes it a bit easier to celebrate Violet). We went out to my parent's house had dinner, cake, and opened gifts. Violet had her very own mini red velvet cake, and although she didn't get to have any, she tried her hardest and got away with a handful of icing. Wish I had a picture of it, but I quickly sat the camera down to keep her from getting a taste. She got a couple of new footie pajamas from Mema and Pa (her great grandparents) and a pink swing from her Pop and Poppie (my parents). She absolutely loves her swing and would get upset when we would stop pushing and attempt to take her out. It was the cutest. I'd say she had a pretty good first half birthday. 

26 weeks

I am 26 weeks and about 5 days now. This picture was taken on the actual day of 26 weeks but I am just now getting around to posting it, and I swear my belly has doubled in size in 5days. We had a doc appointment yesterday morning and this little girl had a bit of a growth spurt (and so did this mama...eeeeekkk).

This has been a super busy week already. I have sooooo much in line to edit, I am throwing (along with three other lovely ladies from church) a baby shower for my precious friend Taylor this Sunday, and my husband's parents are coming in this Monday to stay with us through Thanksgiving. So lots of photo editing, decoration making, and house cleaning is going on this week.

The crib should be delivered sometime tomorrow, and I could not be more excited to see it put together and set up in her room. We are also hoping that the nursery will be getting some new paint on the walls this weekend. I am ready to get her little room all put together. I know this probably sounds really weird, but I go into Violet's room and browse through her 13 (yes I have counted) little outfits she has so far and imagine getting to dress her in all of it in 3 short months. I am ready to have some new nursery items to go look at and daydream about! 

We are now in the double digits of the countdown...whoa. 93 days to go!

24 weeks!

Holy Moly! Big change from the last belly photo, which I guess is to be expected since that was maybe 6 weeks ago. 

Little girl is about the size of an ear of corn. I love the food comparisons! She is about a foot long and weighs just over a pound. 

She is such a little squirmer. Every time we go in for a check up it takes a little while for the doctor to get a good read on her heartbeat because she is either rolling around or kicking the doppler. It cracks me up every time, which I'm sure makes it that much harder. Just 112 days until we meet sweet Violet! 

Robby ran across a couple of things he thought she, let's be honest, we couldn't live without. I have a little feeling that this sweet girl is going to be completely spoiled by her proud papa :)
